To begin the new and notes of the day for the Penguins, lets start with the trades that happened yesterday. The penguins traded Dominuk Kahun to the Sabers for, Conner Sheary, and Evan Rodrigues. This shows that Jim Rutherford is more than committed to making sure his team is ready to contend come April.
Notably, John Marino and Brian Dumoulin have began to practice with the team again. This is big news because the penguins have had a defensive issue over the last handful of games. Most notably the last three, where they gave up 14 goals in 3 games. Bringing back these two solid defenders should help the Pens as they embark on a long road trip.
THE UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The upcoming schedule for the Pens does not pose any real difficult danger, however, there have been stranger things that have happened. the Pens need to take each game one step at a time. Especially at a time where points are critical, and the Pens are on a losing streak. If the Pens can come back home with 86 points that means, job well done. To defeat their opponents all they have to do is, keep it simple, feed of new players, and get better defense. If those three things happen the Pens should be in good shape to go 3-0 on this west coast road trip.
