The virtual NFL Draft in Roger Goodell's house is 4 days away. As NFL fans anticipate the event, we don't know where our favorite payers will land. With a plethora of Offensive lineman, Wide Receivers, and Quarterbacks, the first round will surely have lots of talent. So with that said and done, lets start the first and only Mock Draft I'll be doing.
This may be the most obvious pick in the draft. The Bengals are gonna use their first pick on a QB because they need one. Hopefully this kid from Ohio, can bring some wins for a Bengals team that needs to win. I love Joe Burrow as a player, but lets see if he can succeed in the NFL.
2. Redskins: Chase Young
Chase Young is such a dynamic football player. When he says he is the best player in this draft, I kinda believe him. He can force fumbles, sack the QB, and wreak havoc on offenses. With a defensive minded Ron Rivera in charge in Washington, there is no way he passes on Chase Young at Number 2.
3. Lions: Jeff Okudah
When the lions say they are open to trading that number 3 pick, they're lying. After trading Darius Slay this offseason, they are in need of a CB. They need defense and not offense. They don't need a QB, so they don't need to move down.
4. Giants: Isaiah Simmons
I thought about putting a Offensive lineman here, but this is the best player for Dave Gettleman. Isaiah Simmons is an elite prospect who the Giants can not pass up. If they keep passing up elite defensive talent they won't have a good enough defense to compete in the NFC East.
5. Dolphins: Tua Tagovialoa
Tua is to good for the Dolphins to pass up. Even though a lot of people put Justin Herbert over Tua, I'm not. Even with Tua's injury history, you can't not take a risk with this kid. If the Dolphins are ready to win then they should draft Tua. If the Dolphins don't take Tua, then they'll regret it a couple years down the road.
6: Chargers: Justin Herbert
I think Justin Herbert can thrive if he ends up in LA. He is the smartest QB we have seen in a while. He doesn't throw lots of picks and is accurate enough that he throws for lots of yards. We need more smart QB's in the NFL today. He will succeed, but it will come with a learning curve.
7: Panthers: Derrick Brown
The auburn stud will play alongside Brian Burns to create the best young Defensive Line in football. Derrick Brown is such a good defender against the run, that there is no way he's passed up. New Head Coach has a lot of work to do in Carolina. The defense is not something he has to work on.
8: Cardinals: Tristan Wirfs
The Offensive Lineman from Iowa impressed a ton of people at the combine. he impressed people so much that he's being drafted top 10. If the Cardinals want to be successful, then they have to protect Kyler Murray. Wirfs will be a successful lineman in years to come. The Cardinals have a special player in Wirfs.
9: Trade: Eagles: Jerry Juedy
The Jaguars in my opinion are trading the 9 pick. The Eagles are desperate for star talent at Wide Receiver, so they pick up the best one in the Draft. My gut tells me, the Jaguars want a lot of draft picks. I don't hey want 1 per round. They want a ton of picks so they can rebuild the franchise.
10: Browns: Mekhi Becton
The sports world knows about his failed drug test. I don't think this stops the browns from going after him. It's clear the browns need some protection if they're sticking with Baker. Mekhi is a perfect fit because he does it all. For one year he blocked for Lamar Jackson. Even though I don' think the Ravens are taking him, I think Lamar has a lot of good things to say about his former teammate.
11: Jets: CeeDee Lamb
The Jets clearly need a Wide receiver here. If they pass up on one in Round 1, then they'll regret it in rounds 2-7. CeeDee has caught passes for Kyler Murray, and Baker Mayfield. He's a little underrated in my book. he is such a good receiver, who has all the major skill sets. The Jets need another weapon for Sam Darnold.
12: Trade: Broncos: C.J Henderson
Even though the Raiders were looking at Jordan Love here, I think they'll trade down. I'm sure the Broncos need a new star CB. They are going to get what they want in C.J. It may seem crazy that the Raiders are trading, but I don't think they need a CB right now.
13: 49ers: Justin Jefferson
The 49ers need a new Wide receiver. Justin Jefferson had some of the best numbers last year in College football. After losing Emanuel Sanders, the 49ers need a new Wide receiver to help Jimmy G improve. Justin Jefferson will be a stud, but it will take some time.
14: Tampa Bay: Andrew Thomas
If you are going to bring in Tom Brady, then you need to protect him. Andrew Thomas is a perfect fit because he is a great talent. He can block on the run and on play action. If Tom Brady is serious about winning a title, then he needs to protect himself. The Buccaneers are lacking at offensive Lineman, so let Andrew Thomas be the answer.
15: Raiders: Jedrick Willis Jr.
Even though Jedrick is a great player, I think he falls. I have a feeling the Raiders need and want an Offensive Lineman. If they want to protect whoever starts at QB next year, consider Willis. He has been regarded as one of the best Offensive Line prospects. With every player there is lots of risk. With this player, the good outweighs the risk at least for now.
16: Falcons: K'Lavon Chaisson
The falcons need a linebacker to make up for the loss of Vic Beasly Jr. K'Lavon is an excellent player who can easily succeed in Atlanta. He may not be the best player at this position, but he is so good. The Falcons and Arthur Blank can not let him fall in the draft.
17: Cowboys: Javon Kinlaw
Javon could either go really high or late in Round 1. I think the Cowboys need a to bring in some young talent to their D- Line. The Cowboys have many options at number 17 here. I think there best bet here is to go with a younger fresher Defensive Lineman.
18: Dolphins: Xavier McKinney
The Dolphins need some more depth on the defensive side of the ball. With the addition of Xavier McKinney, the secondary in Miami looks stoked. With Byron Jones, Xavien Howard, and McKinney, this defense will be set up for the long run.
19: Raiders: Henry Ruggs III
Henry Ruggs can help the Raiders by adding a speed demon to their Wide receiver core. If the Raiders are telling the truth, then either Derek Carr or Marcus Mariota will get to throw to this stud. One of the fastest 40 times ever, should help Henry Ruggs outrun his opponents.
20: Trade: Saints: Kenneth Murray
I think the Jags need to trade a couple of their early picks, so that they get a lot more total picks. The Saints need a young linebacker who will provide stability in the backfield for New Orleans. Kenneth Murray was a stud at Oklahoma who will thrive in the NFL.
21: Jaguars: Zack Baun
The Jags in my opinion will start the rebuild on defense. Because of that, they will draft on defense. An anchor on defense for the Badgers last year, Baun will help a team that needs younger defensive starters. If they are rebuilding why not start with this physical presence in the middle.
22: Vikings: Brandon Aiyuk
The Vikings clearly need another receiver after trading Diggs. Why not start with a receiver that won't be the best, but will be a solid player. This is probably the best Wide Receiver they'll get unless they trade up.
23: Patriots: Jordan Love
I know Jordan Love shouldn't fall all the way to 23, but I think he will. The Pats need a new QB with the departure of Tom Brady. I think Bill Belichick will have a QB battle with Love and Stidham and see who wins. Patriots fans should love this move because Love has the potential to be really good. People have even said he looks like a young Pat Mahomes.
24: Jaguars: A.J Terrell
The CB from Clemson has a lot of success in man coverage. He is very fast and can run with the best of them. the Jags like I said earlier, need better young players on defense. A.J might not explode his first year in the NFL, but don't be fooled if he gets a few picks.
25: Vikings: Jaylon Johnson
Even though a lot of people think he'll be drafted higher, I have him here. Jaylon is a tough kid who can cover well enough that receivers think twice before crossing him. With Mike Zimmer he will shine and show the world who he is.
26: Dolphins: Antoine Winfield Jr.
Antoine is a Swiss army knife that can do it all defensively. He can pressure the QB in a blitz, play linebacker, shine at safety, and even cover elite receivers. Just like his dad he should be a stud and get a lot of picks. Offenses should not underestimate this kids power and presence on the defense.
27: Seahawks: Cesar Ruiz
The Seahawks need some more protection so that Russel Wilson can stay healthy. With a lot of years left for Russel Wilson, Seattle needs to think long term with the 27th pick in the Draft.
28: Ravens: Patrick Queen
Even though the Ravens have lots of young defensive talent already, why not add one more. There is no harm in adding more depth to a loaded roster. If this team want to win the Super Bowl, then they need depth now.
29: Titans: Yetur Gross- Matos
The Titans need to improve their pass rush. Gross- Matos is a perfect fit because of his determination to win and his drive. This Pen Stater will be successful because he is mean, tough, and a really good player.
30: Packers: Tee Higgins
The star Wide Receiver from Clemson, is the last Wide receiver picked in Round 1. He has enough potential that Aaron Rodgers will finally have another weapon besides Davante Adams. The packers are clearly trying to win. Bringing in some solid Wide receiver talent could boost this teams stock.
31: 49ers: Noah Ighinoghene
This CB has lots of risk, but has potential for even more reward. I understand the risk involved, but what have the 49ers got to lose. The worst they could do is pass him up. I think they'll give him a chance.
32: Chiefs: De'andre Swift
This polarizing RB from Georgia, has all the elite skill sets to succeed right way. The Chiefs are in dire need of a better younger RB to run alongside Pat Mahomes. This is the best RB in the entire draft because of his flashy moves.
