The Los Angeles Lakers signed Dion Waiters to bolster their bench heading into the playoffs.
Waiters started the season with the Miami Heat appearing in 3 games but was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies who eventually cut him.
Waiters reportedly had a very good work out for the Lakers before meeting with the team several times. Waiters has some familiarity with the Lakers because his agent use to be Lakers Vice President of Basketball Operations Rob Pelinka when he was an agent. Waiters is now represented by Rich Paul and Klutch Sports.
Dion Waiters is a career 13.2 scorer and the Lakers are hopeful he be a spark off the bench. The additions of Waiters and Markieff Morris add some toughness to the Lakers.
No word on when he will join the team but the Lakers face the Bucks Friday night and the Clippers on Sunday.
