Future Hall of Famer Frank Gore signed a one year deal with the New York Jets!
Frank Gore, without a doubt brings veteran leadership to the Jets. Gore is heading into his 16th season and will be a backup running back behind star running back Le'Veon Bell. Gore now reunites with Jets head coach Adam Gase.
Frank Gore will now play on his 3rd AFC East team. Last year on the Bills, Gore ran for 599 yards on 166 attempts. This kept his streak of 15 straight seasons with 500 plus rushing yards, and 15 straight seasons with 125 plus rushing attempts. Gore last year started a few games, but mainly was the backup behind star rookie Devin Singletary. Gore was drafted by the 49ers with the 65th pick in the draft. Gore spent most of his career on the 49ers, from 2005-2014. Gore then played for the Colts, from 2015-2017. In 2018, Gore played for the Dolphins with head coach Adam Gase, and then last year Gore spent his time on the Bills. Gore will probably have his 1st season without 500 plus rushing yards just because he has aged and is behind Le'Veon Bell. Gore is 3rd on the NFL's all time rushing list and will try to pass Walter Payton for 2nd on the list. Gore needs 1,380 yards to do this, but he is a determined running back and will likely play as many seasons as he needs to, to pass Payton on the list. The 5 time pro bowler will continue his career in the NFL and will continue to teach young players the game of football.
