Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry was hoping to avoid surgery for his injured hip that he played with for most of the 2019 season. Landry was hoping to avoid going under the knife and just rehab his hip during the offseason.
It appears that the rehab wasn’t working and the Browns announced on February 4 that Landry had surgery on his hip. The procedure was done by Dr. Chris Larson in Minnesota.
Landry is expected to make a full recovery and be ready to go for the 2020 season. Landry injured himself early in to the 2019 season, but he was able to fight through the injury and didn’t miss a single game.
Even injured Landry had a good season, sporting a statline of: 83 / 1,174 / 6. But, you wonder what kind of season the Browns could have had. The Browns offense struggled as a whole, and now both Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr have undergone off-season surgery.
It’s not clear how serious Landry’s injury was. Obviously it was serious enough that he needed surgery, but, Landry didn’t miss a game all season, and he also participated in the Pro Bowl.
Having both Landry and Beckham healthy in 2020 will be imperative for the Browns that they’re happy.
